I am Masatake Okawa, the Mayor of CHOSHI-CITY.
13 years have passed since Choshi & Coos Bay became sister cities. It is a great pleasure for me that many exchanges have been made to strengthen the ties between our two cities.
We also have Sister-School relations.

Wakamiya-MilnerCrest, Takagami-BlossomGluch, 2 Choshi Municipal Highs-Marshfield High and 4th Jr. High-Sunset Middle Schools.
I have heard, Students from Coos Bay will visit Choshi this June, Choshi-CITY is full of beautiful scenery and Natural wonders. I hope they will enjoy their stay in Choshi.

President CHOSHI-COOS BAY SISTER CITY FRIENDSHIP ASSOCIATION

I am Shojiro Osato, the President, CHOSHI-COOS BAY SISTER CITY FRIENDSHIP ASSOCIATION.
I have visited Coos-Bay three times as a leader of Choshi delegations.

In 1994, the first occured students-exchange of sister schools had been made in each other. Coos Bay students visited Choshi in June, and Choshi students visited Coos Bay in August.

In 1995, students-exchange expanded to all municipal schools. These experiences will be a milestone in their lives of the students.

This year, third student-exchange is to continue as in previous years. I hope that they will enjoy the student-exchange.
